Space often grabs headlines with stories of billionaires and missions to colonise the Moon or Mars, but a quieter revolution is happening closer to home. Satellites are transforming Earth observation, providing unprecedented insights into how we see our planet and to help us tackle the climate crisis.
Thanks to advancements in technology, satellites are now cheaper and more powerful, capturing a vast array of multidimensional data. This data combined with AI and cloud computing, is unlocking innovative ways to decarbonise, better use precious resources and protect flora and fauna.
As satellite data becomes more accessible, businesses and organisations can leverage it for innovation, collaboration, and explore new opportunities of this growing data revolution.

Green Nova Invest is the General Partner of the Green Nova Investment Fund, a global fund focused on harnessing scientific and technological innovations that benefit from the application of satellite data to improve the sustainability of life on Earth. The fund's primary focus is to deploy capital to companies that have the potential to, or currently utilise satellite data, and advanced technologies to improve environmental outcomes. Our investment objectives are underpinned by a requirement to reduce carbon emissions, increase carbon absorption, improve biodiversity, enhance water quality and security, and foster more sustainable practices across key industries.
Our first investment, Ocean Intelligence, aims to reduce carbon emissions in the shipping industry by at least 10%, with a potential annual CO2 reduction of 237 million tonnes.
We know more about space than oceans. Lets use this knowledge to make positive impact for our planet
Ocean Intelligence is the essential data-driven platform for maritime operators, providing intelligent route optimisation, emissions tracking, and environmental insights to drive sustainable operations and regulatory compliance in the shipping industry.
By measuring and predicting currents, our dynamic and adaptive ship routing technology optimises travel time, fuel consumption, and emissions in real time.
Optimised and adaptive re-routing.
Tested on over 100 ships.
Demonstrated consistent fuels savings of 5-20% per voyage.
Our first project, Ocean Intelligence, sets out to decarbonise the global shipping industry and provide verifiable scope 3 emissions reductions.
Ocean Intelligence mission: become the Wayz and Google of the seas to empower the global shipping industry to cut fuel use and emissions across entire fleets.
